RSS is the short version from “Really Simple Syndication”, which means that you can receive news, as title lists and even online content. RSS is used for distributing title lists, update news and even content to a large number of users.

RSS is what you can use for being always up-to-date with the changes on the websites or blogs you are subscribed with. When new content of fresh news have been published, you are notified by RSS alerts.

RSS is based on a list of notifications, updated by the administrators of the websites which publish news or content, using a standardized method, named RSS Feed.

Reading RSS Feeds from the websites can be done very simple, using even your Internet browser (Internet Explorer 7+, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome), or certain websites specialized in collecting these Feeds, such as Google Reader or My Yahoo. These websites allow access to the content only after creating an user account, following a registration process.
