Up to 10,000 Euros offered as prize for „idei tari” (cool ideas) coming form the young people passionate about IT&C

Starting today, April 15 2010 and up to August 31, the pupils and students passionate about telecommunications are invited to apply to the “Idei Tari”(“Cool Ideas”) competition launched by “Romtelecom for Romanians” Foundation. The national competition aims to repay the passion of people up to 30 years old for IT&C field, to encourage performance and to stimulate the interest for the study, research and innovation in this domain.

The themes proposed for the competition are available on the dedicated website www.ideitari.ro. The projects, which can be submitted online on the same website up to May 15, will be marked depending on the innovation level, the applicability of the ideas and the capacity to offer solutions. The winning team will be the one which will score the highest points.

In a first phase, the projects entering the competition will be evaluated by a mixed jury formed by Romtelecom specialists and university specialists. In a second phase, the authors of the most appreciated 15 projects will present their works in front of the same jury, during a dedicated event which will take place in Bucharest.

The most valuable projects will be rewarded with prizes of up to 10,000 Euros in total (first place – 5,000 Euros, second place – 3,000 Euros and third place – 2,000 Euros) and internship programs within Romtelecom.

At the end of the contest Romtelecom will also host a dedicated conference. Academicians, people from the communications field, as well as, students and graduates will have the opportunity of exchanging ideas and debate the trends from this field of activity. By rewarding the most valuable practical and theoretical contributions, Romtelecom wants to maintain a high level of interest and to continue stimulate the study, research and evolution in the communications field.
