Romtelecom and Child Helpline Association support the children to discover a better world
Romtelecom and Child Helpline have launched the awareness campaign „Discover a better world for you!", addressed mainly to children.
The awareness campaign aims at getting children familiar with the European harmonized number 116 111, free of charge in Romtelecom's network, where they can call whenever in need of protection. When calling 116 111, children will also benefit from counselling from professionals, who will provide them with support in order to get over social, psychological and educational problems they face. The campaign is also addressed to parents who are encouraged to report cases of abuse towards children or any case of violation of children's rights.
The campanign has been also developed in schools from all over the country, in Romtelecom's shops, outdoor, online and on radio.
In order to support the campaign's message, the metaphor of a full of color universe was chosen, where every child can play, dream and explore without boundaries.

As part of the campaign was launched, as well, the new website of Child Helpline www.telefonulcopilului.ro, with an attractive design and detailed information both for children, parents and teachers.
Romtelecom supported Child Helpline Association over the last 8 years, „Discover a better world for you” being the second campaign deployed by the two partners, at national level, during the last years.
Since its launch up to present, the Child Helpline has registered around 1,5 million phone calls reporting different situations of abuse towards children. Only in 2008 were identified over 600 valid cases.
