11 August 2011 Romtelecom launches the Balcan-IX public peering service for IPv6 networks
Starting with August, Balcan-IX, the Internet Exchange platform developed by Romtelecom, becomes the first platform in Romania that offers interconnection services over the IPv6 protocol. This solution is dedicated to telecom service operators and provides neutral interconnection through public peering services or virtual private interconnections.
08 August 2011 Discounts of up to 33% for the new bundles
Starting today, August 8, 2011, television, internet and voice services offered by Romtelecom to residential customers, new or existing ones, will be available in bundles which can bring discounts of up to 33% from the total communications and entertainment bill. The bundles can be personalised depending on the consuming needs of each customer.
05 August 2011 Romtelecom hires consultants for the assessment of the merger and of the listing to the stock exchange
According to the agreement between its shareholders, OTE and MCSI, from July 1st, 2011, Romtelecom proceeded to the selection and hiring of the law firm which is to offer consultancy during the assessment process of the shareholders’ main options (either merger between Romtelecom and Cosmote and listing of the new entity to the stock exchange, or directly the listing of Romtelecom on the stock exchange). The selected law firm is Stoica& Asociații.
