Romtelecom launches new improved voting solution for Eurovision

Romtelecom offers for the first time a four digits number, 1222, for those who want to vote in the national phase of the Eurovision contest broadcasted on December 31st, 2010 by TVR.

Romtelecom improved on this occasion the capabilities of its voting solution with an increased capacity of up to 5 times bigger than previous versions, allowing around 150,000 simultaneous calls to be taken over for the voting process. It is the first time the company is using four digits numbers for such situations, instead of the 0900 XXX XXX/0800 number structure.

With the increased capacity Romtelecom wants to avoid any problems that may appear due to the heavy New Years Eve traffic. 
When calling 1222, the customer can either directly vote for their favourite song or listen in detail the entire list of contestants. The price is 0.55 Euros + VAT per call.
