Starting this week, Dolce Sport will broadcast the first two options of the Romanian football Liga 2
Starting with August 28, Dolce Sport will broadcast live 60 matches from the Romanian football championship Liga 2 during the 2010-2011 season.
Romtelecom obtained the right to exclusively broadcast the matches of the first package of TV rights, having the first two options regarding the broadcasting of the played matches.
„Football is for everyone and I think that the 2nd League succeeded to prove so many times up to now that it is a values’ nursery for the Romanian championship. We consider that our decision will bring joy to the fans of the king sport and will bring them even closer to their soul teams,” stated Vlad Enachescu, General Manager of Dolce Sport.
32 teams compete in the Romanian 2nd League, the last phase of the first round taking place, according to the decision of the Romanian Football Federation, on December 4, 2010. The first two matches broadcasted by Dolce Sport are FC Arges - UTA, on Friday August 27 – starting from 18:00, and CS Otopeni - Steaua II, on Sunday August 29 – starting from 12:00.
Dolce Sport channel is available on DOLCE (DTH and IPTV) and NextGen platforms. Dolce TV service has currently more than 900,000 customers gained in about three years since its launching, while NextGen has more than 160,000 subscriptions sold in less than two years since its launching.
