Up to 30 Mbps Internet with tariffs starting from 9.9 euro/month for residential customers

Starting today, July 13, Romtelecom launches two new high speed Internet subscriptions, of up to 30 Mbps, 50% more than the highest present provided speeds, both for residential and business customers. The tariffs for residential customers start from 9.9 euro/month, VAT included. Currently, the offer is available in 10 cities throughout the country.

The new faster Internet subscriptions for residential segment address both new and existent customers and are available in two versions: Romtelecom Clicknet 20 Mbps for a monthly tariff of 9.9 euro, VAT included, and Romtelecom Clicknet 30 Mbps for a monthly tariff of 14.9 euro, VAT included.

“We permanently focus on using the most viable solutions and technologies to offer our customers a quality experience with all Romtelecom services. In order to offer these new Internet subscriptions, we improved the network capacities by replacing cooper cables with new fibre cables and we plan to continue the upgrade in other cities too, in the next period” stated Wolfgang Breuer, Chief Technology and Operations Officer, Romtelecom.

The subscriptions are available for the 2, respectively 3 years contracts, for which the customers may also benefit of free service activation, free modems and a free of charge VoIP line. For the 3 years contracts the customers receive, supplementary, for the entire duration of the contract, a free of charge subscription for Romtelecom Clicknet Mobile 2GB, offered together with USB modem (EVDO) at 29 euro, VAT included.

Business customers also have access to the new services, in a package
formula meant to answer better their specific needs. Thus, they benefit of webhosting BeOnline standard solution, service level agreement (SLA), free of charge static IP, modem without supplementary taxes (depending on the contract period) and an antivirus solution included in the monthly subscriptions of 22.61 euro, VAT included, for Clicknet 20 Mbps, respectively 24.99 euro, VAT included, for Clicknet 30 Mbps.

The new services offered by Romtelecom are currently available in the following 10 cities: Bacău, Brăila, Bucureşti, Cluj Napoca, Constanţa, Iaşi, Piatra Neamţ, Ploieşti, Sibiu and Timişoara. The technology on which the subscriptions are based is VDSL, a DSL technology providing faster data transmission over copper wires, used for the first time in Romania. The DSL technology is the most widely used high-speed Internet technology in the world.
