Romtelecom redesigns its Dolce portofolio
Starting this week, Romtelecom redesigns its Dolce TV portfolio, offering its customers the possibility to choose from 3 different main packages, with monthly subscriptions starting from 2.9 euro, VAT excluded.
All new Dolce customers can now choose from 3 different main packages which bring a wide variety of choices for all customer segments: Dolce National, Dolce Variat and Dolce Star. Dolce Flexi is the version of Dolce Star which doesn’t require a contractual period, giving full flexibility to the customer.
With a monthly subscription of 2.9 euro, VAT excluded, Dolce National offers access to national news and quality entertainment to customers with lower income and limited TV needs, being also the perfect package for customers trying to save money on TV services, while enjoying the same digital quality of sound and image.
Dolce Variat is a package for the entire family, covering every preference in terms of news, sports, documentaries, cartoons and music consumption. The package is available for a monthly subscription of 3.9 euro, VAT excluded.
Dolce Star was designed especially for movie fans, providing the highest number of movie channels on the market, including CineStar, ActionStar and ComedyStar channels. It offers over 1500 movies per month, for a monthly subscription of 4.9 euro, VAT excluded. In addition, we used Dolce Star to create the only main package on the market available without signing a minimum contractual commitment. Dolce Flexi is the ideal package for summer and weekend houses, with the same channel line-up as Dolce Star, but offered without any contractual period.

Launching the new main packages and the portfolio redesign are based on the new consumer preferences on the market, as TV subscribers want to be able to choose according to their needs the list of TV channels they are watching and paying for.
“The redesign of our basic packages comes as a natural consequence of Dolce’s maturation and the growth of the customer base of over three quarters of a million at mid-2009. We are thus trying to better answer the preferences of our customers. In addition, Romtelecom will further invest in developing the Dolce DTH platform. The objective is to broadcast up to 100 channels, including HD (high definition) channels, to offer all types of TV entertainment options for our customers, alongside an unique user experience,” stated Joerg Zeddies, Chief Commercial Officer, Residential Segment Romtelecom.
For the customers interested in subscribing to Dolce without having another Romtelecom service, 3 similar base packages are available, under the brand names Dolce National Uni, Dolce Variat Uni, Dolce Star Uni. The main package extension without a contractual period is also available as Dolce Flexi Uni.
During the next month, the existing Dolce customers will be offered the possibility to migrate to one of the new created packages, based on the preferences they will have the opportunity to express. They will be informed personally, during the following period, on the steps they will need to follow for choosing one of the new main packages.
