Save for Yourself, a Campaign which Invites to Responsible Usage
The “Romtelecom for Romanians Foundation”, together with “O 9 Atitudine”, launches today, April 9th, the "Save for Yourself! Save for Tomorrow!” campaign. The slogan comes to emphasize our current need to profoundly re-think the way we live our lives, our values and priorities. The campaign invites to a personal reconsideration of the way in which we consider using the daily resources, which we often treat as if they were endless, due to lack of attention, haste or routine. | |
No matter the reason, the fact is that the resources which ensure us the daily comfort are over exploited through inefficient use or due to exaggerated consume. This is why "Save for Yourself! Save for Tomorrow!” wishes to encourage responsible resources consume and to remind the fact that, through correctly using them, we actually invest in the quality of the tomorrow resources and, at the same time, we efficiently manage daily expenses. “Through this campaign, sustained by a direct and explicit slogan, we try to convince people to take a few minutes off the daily rhythm and to take a look around. Minor changes in attitude, behaviour or habits can bring visible results. We do this thing because we ourselves are implied in everything around us, both as individuals and as an organisation”, states Cristina Popescu, Romtelecom PR General Manager. "The campaign we started today represents a sequel of the efforts we made during the last years to change some mentalities of the Romanian consumers, which meant informing, education and acknowledgement in various domains, all with direct impact on the citizen’s life. The campaign also has an online component, which targets all those who wish to be informed about how they can save and win more at the same time. The www.economisestepentrutine.ro website contains, amongst others, details about the campaign, useful information about the subject in particular and about environmental protection in general. Also, the website hosts a contest of video materials with personal examples on the way in which users understand to intelligently save resources. The "Romtelecom for Romanians" Foundation aims at initiating projects through which sustains social causes that need a strong voice in order to be uttered, heard and solved. Also, through this foundation, Romtelecom wishes to convey its will of social implication to a large audience, to which it addresses first of all as to a partner. The Foundation comes as a natural extension of Romtelecom implication in the welfare of the Romanian society, which materialized during the last years in numerous projects supported by the company. The "O 9 atitudine!” campaign is unrolled by A.N.P.C.P.P.S. Romania with the purpose of developing a new approach amongst Romanian consumers.
