Romtelecom Achieves Silver Certification from Cisco in Romania
BUCHAREST Romania – April 27, 2009 – Romtelecom announced today it has achieved Silver Certification from Cisco®. To earn Silver Certification, Romtelecom had to meet rigorous standards for networking competency, service, support and customer satisfaction set forth by Cisco.
“By receiving this certification we prove that we are moving in the right direction and changing the legacy of Romtelecom, by building a strong and competitive company on its old foundations. It is both a reference point in the evolution of the company in the past years, as well as a confirmation of the high level of expertise we are providing on the Romanian market,” said Yorgos Ioannidis, Chief Executive Officer of Romtelecom. “Based on this certification we can improve even further the services for our key partners and clients,” added Yorgos Ioannidis.
“We see an increasing trend of companies turning to their service provider not only for internet and phone connectivity, but for advise and expertise in a complete set of information and communication technology services. As a result of the restructuring process, implemented over the past years, Romtelecom became a more agile and dynamic company and has delivered many innovative projects in the Romanian market. Having recently completed its certification in managed services and now adding the Silver Certification, Romtelecom is well positioned to successfully implement complex IT projects”, said Bogdan Constantinescu, General Manager Cisco Romania.
Cisco is committed to providing tools, training and programs to help drive partner growth, differentiation and profitability.
As a Cisco Silver Certified Partner, Romtelecom has met requirements for attaining a broad range of expertise. In addition, Romtelecom was required to integrate Cisco Lifecycle Services into their offerings and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction based on independently audited customer satisfaction surveys.
“With the recently achieved Silver Certification and the specializations in unified communications and wireless LAN, Romtelecom has made an investment in delivering the integrated and customized technology solutions today’s customers demand”, Constantinescu added.
The Cisco Resale Channel Program provides partners with the training required to build sales, technical and Cisco Lifecycle Services skills, and then validates their skills through a third-party audit. Cisco resale partner certifications—Gold, Silver, Premier and Select—represent an increasing breadth of skills across key technologies and a partner’s ability to deliver integrated networking solutions.
Starting with February 2009, Romtelecom has also received the certification as Cisco Managed Services Channel Partner, proving once again its ability to offer high value-added services to its business clients. Romtelecom is the first such certified operator in Central and Eastern Europe.
