Romtelecom - Clicknet e-mail powered by Google

Beginning with September 2008, Romtelecom-Clicknet customers will benefit of the Google platform for the Clicknet e-mail accounts, following the partnership closed between Romtelecom and Google.

Thus, the Romtelecom-Clicknet e-mail users will benefit of all the advantages provided by the Google Apps™ Platform, such as big inbox of over 7000 MB, attachments of up to 20 Mb, easy mobile access, intuitive interface in Romanian and world class spam filters. The mobile access is possible either through a java client, downloadable for free at m.google.com/a, or simply through a mobile web browser.  

Clicknet powered by Google Apps e-mail users will automatically get access to all other Google applications in addition to e-mail such as integrated instant messaging, calendar with free SMS notifications and online applications including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.

Being the first Internet service on the Romanian market to use the Google Platform for its customers’ e-mails will impact positively on this satisfaction index.

ClickNet is the broadband Internet service of Romtelecom, available on the market since three years ago, which, in June 2008 exceeded the threshold of 500,000, keeping an increase rate similar to last year.  Clicknet ended 2007 with a market share of approx 20%, registering a growth rate of more than 300%. The service relies on the ADSL technology, which is the dominant technology for broadband internet access on European market.
