Romtelecom launches a wireless solution for hotels, restaurants and catering segment

Romtelecom launched this month a turn key wireless solution, addressing clients from HORECA segment.

After a testing period, Romtelecom launched ClickNet HotZone, an easy to use wireless Internet access solution which can be installed in places such as restaurants, train stations, airports, libraries, hotels, coffee shops, gas stations, supermarkets and other public places. The wireless technology can also be installed in universities and schools.

In addition to wireless Internet access, ClickNet HotZone includes the following optional services: planning of the wireless network, installation of local wireless network, a customised portal, the registration and authentication of users, maintenance and support. Moreover, business clients who require the wireless access service from Romtelecom can choose one of the three access options for end users: open (business clients can offer the service for free to their customers), pre-paid or post-paid access.

ClickNet HotZone clients benefit of an Internet speed of up to 20 Mbps for ADSL connections and up to 50 Mbps for fibre optic solution (MetroNet); they also benefit of a customised portal with their own branding elements (logo, graphic elements and text etc.) through which the end users have access to the Internet.

Once we launched this turn key wireless solution, we became even more flexible; Romtelecom can address now a segment of clients who seek quality services, but also need mobility” declared George Makowski, Chief Commercial Officer, Business Segment, Romtelecom.

After the testing period, business clients stated that after they installed the Wi-Fi solution from Romtelecom they noticed an increased satisfaction of the customers and of the time they spend in the respective location, but also the improvement of the image of the respective companies.

“We chose to install the wireless solution from Romtelecom to offer an extra-benefit to our clients who spend their time in our tea shop. We noticed that the number of the persons who come to relax or even work in the pleasant environment of our place increased considerably. This makes us believe we’ve made a good choice, by offering our clients the possibility to enjoy both quality events and an extremely easy way to use the high speed Internet,” declared Alexandra Popovici, manager of Serendipity Coffee & Tea, from Bucharest, one of the pilot-locations.
