Romtelecom decreases tariffs with 40%+ and renames the voice subscriptions
Starting with August, the residential clients of Romtelecom will be charged at local tariffs for the national calls. Moreover, the company also makes branding modifications, changing the name of the subscriptions for telephony services from “Confort” to “Voce” and adds 10 more minutes monthly for the Confort 50 subscription.
From August 11, the subscriptions for fixed line telephony services of Romtelecom will have more than 40% lower tariffs for the national calls made during the peak hours in the Romtelecom network, reaching the same price level as the local calls. Also, the tariffs for calls towards other fixed line telephony networks in Romania were decreased by 17%. These are additional benefits offered to the clients, who, depending on the subscription type, enjoy unlimited free of charge calls during the off-peak hours for both local and national calls towards all fixed line networks in Romania. Thus, the tariffs for the peak hours calls within the Romtelecom network are 2.7 eurocents per minute (excepting the current Confort Standard subscription where it is 1.89 eurocents per minute) and for the calls towards other national fixed line networks are 4.5 eurocents per minute, VAT not included.
Moreover, to make them easier to understand, Romtelecom renames its fixed line telephony subscriptions. Thus, to suggest the type of service they refer to, “Confort” will be replaced in the name of all subscriptions by “Voce”, and the new names will also state the main benefits of the subscription type. For example, the Confort 50 subscription will be called Voce Seara & Weekend (Evening & Weekend Voice), highlighting the main benefit it offers: free of charge calls during evenings and weekends, while the Confort Standard subscription will be called Voce Start.
“All these changes, of price and name, bring us closer to our clients’ needs. The new tariffs will encourage our clients to speak more than now on their fixed line phones, with no additional charges, and the new names will make the Romtelecom subscriptions easier understood by clients,” said Joerg Zeddies, chief commercial officer for the residential segment, Romtelecom.
Also from August 11, the Voce Start (the former Confort Standard) subscribers will benefit of free of charge calls in the network everyday during the hours 18 and 22, while the Voce Seara & Weekend subscribers (the former Confort 50) will receive 10 minutes of calls within the Romtelecom network during peak hours (between 8 and 18) along with the 50 minutes already included in the subscription, with no additional subscription taxes.
In addition, the clients who will subscribe to Voce Seara & Weekend and Voce Nelimitat until September 11 will benefit, depending on the contract period of 1 or 2 years, of 50% cut off from the subscription price for 6 and respectively 12 months, a free of charge option and itemized bill for the same period. The installing fee will not be charged. The ones who subscribe for 2 years also receive a Siemens AL 140 DECT telephone.
