Romtelecom eases access to international calls with a new subscription

Romtelecom launched its first subscription with 50 minutes of international calls included, for a monthly prize of 9.90 Euro, VAT excluded.   

The new Confort 50 International subscription was especially created for residential existing and new clients with a high international traffic. The 50 international minutes included can be used regardless of the day and time slot, for making calls to fixed telephony networks in the EU countries and to fixed and mobile networks in USA and Canada. Of course the new subscription includes the most “loved feature” by our customers: unlimited calls to any fixed telephony network in Romania, from Monday to Friday, during the evening (6 PM-8 AM), plus on the whole Saturdays, Sundays and during legal holydays.  

“After we launched the Customers 1st project, last year, we planned to periodically come up on the market with the novelties it requires. We now propose another premiere for our clients, the new subscription with international minutes included, by which we put down frontiers in telecoms, as well”, stated Joerg Zeddies, Chief Commercial Officer for Residential Segment.  

Also, customers who get a fixed line from Romtelecom by the end of June do not have to pay any tax for the installation. Besides, depending on the duration of the contract they choose, the clients can benefit of 50% reductions for subscriptions with minutes included, such as Confort 50 International is, a voice option and detailed bill – with no tax for a 6 months period. When signing 2 year contracts, the clients also receive a Siemens AL 40 terminal.

Romtelecom succeeded to stabilize its fixed telephony clients’ data base in 2007, stopping the net losses which affected the company for many years, to approx. 3 million clients.
