Free access to Romtelecom's national phone directory service on mobile phone, via COSMOTE's innovative i-mode service
COSMOTE Romania and Romtelecom introduce today a unique service in the market, offering i-mode users free mobile access to approximately 3 million national corporate and residential phone numbers, listed in the Romtelecom directory. Moreover, i-mode users can automatically connect to Romtelecom’s directory selected number, at no additional charge for the procedure.
Available exclusively via i-mode, the “Romtelecom Agenda” service can be accessed 24 hours a day, with no subscription necessary, and offers the possibility to search for Romtelecom residential or business phone numbers by name, county, city and street. Users may also view the entire directory of a county or a city, as well as search for useful numbers such as taxi companies, airlines, hotels, bars, restaurants, hospitals and even gas stations, among others.

The i-mode service, introduced exclusively by COSMOTE in May 2007, is a user-friendly multimedia mobile service that offers an extensive and unique variety of thematic content as well as applications for both residential and business customers. The service enables mobile users to access, through their phones, a number of i-mode sites, offering real-time information, entertainment, news, sports, weather, maps, online shopping, chat & dating, ring tones, games and other relevant local and international content. i-mode also enables e-mail access and other practical applications anywhere, anytime, at only a touch of a button.
The Romtelecom customers’ data base can now be accessed through i-mode, in addition to the free of charge phone books, the phone service 931 and online, via the company’s website, www.romtelecom.ro.
