Romtelecom launches Virtual Private Network over Internet
Today, July 3, 2006, Romtelecom launches the VPNoI data transmissions service (Virtual Private Network over Internet), addressed to small and medium enterprises.
The usage of this new service provides certain benefits, such as efficiency increase through information transfer from the regional data centers to distribution centers, predictable and easy manageable costs and security of data transmissions, as well.
VPNoI is based on broadband Internet access services offered by Romtelecom, such as iP FIX Compact, iP FIX Star, iP FIX Ultra, ADSL Express or ClickNet Express.
VPNoI service provides private virtual networks, using tunneling and security mechanisms and protocols in order to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and performance desired by the clients. At the same time, VPNoI service ensures permanent data transfer, documents exchange, access to client-server type applications or informational services, teleworking, etc.
Through this service, Romtelecom intends to answer, as better as possible, the special communication needs of the business environment in Romania, regarding quality, VPNoI, offering secure and fast data communication links, and affordability of prices, as well. The company started to offer the VPN service based on IP-MPLS technology for large and middle companies, back in 2005 and with this new product, the company expands the offer targeted at small and middle enterprises.
