SIP Trunking

SIP Trunking is a modern successor of the ISDN service, which offers the same quality level at lower costs. The service provides a wholesale VoIP service that allows customers to originate and terminate voice calls worldwide to fixed and mobile destinations.

The customer will be provided with virtual voice channels delivered over an IP connection, via SIP.

This product is ideal for international and national telecommunication providers targeting corporate customers within Romania, who are looking for reliable Voice over IP services or would like to bundle other data services (VPN, IP Transit, L2Connect, Balcan-IX) with voice.

• SIP Trunking can be delivered to via the following Romtelecom services: L2Connect, IP Transit, Balcan-IX, Carrier MPLS VPN

• The essential component of the service is the trunk (64kbps). SIP Trunks are simply a virtual voice channel that allows a single, concurrent voice call (e.g. for 10 concurrent calls, 10 SIP Trunks will be required)

• Telephone Numbers can be provided as new TNs from Romtelecom’s geographical numbering range or ported from an existing carrier

• The CPE may consist in IPPBX/ CENTREX/ voice gateways and/or IP Phones/ Terminal Sets
• The service has support for both IP PBXs and non-IP PBXs
• The CPE can be either customer’s equipment either provided by Romtelecom

The service has two basic subscription types:

• SIP Trunk 10 (10 simultaneous calls, 10 telephone numbers)
• SIP Trunk 30 (30 simultaneous calls, 10 telephone numbers)

The customer may choose any of the following options:

• DDI 10 (group of 10 supplementary numbers)
• DDI 100 (group of 100 supplementary numbers)
• DDI 1000 (group of 1000 supplementary numbers)

• Extra SIP 20 (20 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 30 (30 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 40 (40 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 60 (60 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 80 (80 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 90 (90 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 100 (100 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 120 (120 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 150 (150 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 200 (200 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 300 (300 simultaneous calls)
• Extra SIP 400 (400 simultaneous calls)
