IP Transit service provides dedicated access to Romtelecom IP network and national/ regional/ global IP networks. The service is generally available through a BGP session between Romtelecom and the customer’s routers. The customer must have its own AS number and its own IP classes. Private AS Number allocation and PA Romtelecom IP Addresses assignment are possible under certain conditions.

The IP Transit service offers:

1. Connectivity through dedicated port, over dedicated Fiber Optic access/ interconnect link, access technology: Ethernet/SDH
2. Access via Romtelecom IP network to other IP networks, with following options:
   • IP Transit National – access to Romanian IP networks, including Romtelecom IP network, Romtelecom’s peers and downstream customers within Romania
   • IP Transit Regional – access to Regional IP networks, including Romtelecom IP network, Romtelecom’s peers and downstream customers within Region (Region refers to CEE countries, including but not limited to: Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia, Greece)
   • IP Transit Global – access to global Internet
3. Three options for Service Level:
   • Standard SLA - by default
   • Advanced SLA
   • Premium SLA (available in certain locations and conditions)
4. Routing features
   • Routing protocol - by default, BGPv4
   • Routing information – options, at choice:
     1. Default route
     2. National Routing Table (NRT)
     3. Regional Routing Table (RRT)
     4. Full Internet Routing Table (FIRT)
5. Bandwidths available – between 5 Mbps and 1 Gbps
6. Traffic monitoring – through a secured web-site

1. Routing policy enhancement - provide the option to mark the routing information announced to the customer with specific Romtelecom BGP communities
2. Supplementary IP Addresses Allocation (up to /24 subnets)
